Welcome to Blacknall Memorial Presbyterian Church! Sunday worship is the heart of our life at Blacknall. Every Sunday we gather to celebrate Jesus Christ as our Lord. Our 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. services include many elements of a traditional Christian liturgy, such as confession and weekly communion by intinction (bread dipped in a communal cup). There is also a time of informal sharing and prayer.
In the event that the livestream fails to start or stops working, we will upload a recording of the worship service here by the next day. Thank you for your patience!

Blacknall's Durham Ministry Engagement Team (DMET) has compiled several service opportunities related to Blacknall’s local ministry partners to consider during Lent. Some of these activities can be done at home with children, in small groups, or with youth groups. Browse the full list of ideas or contact Vangie Lunn for more details.
Are you willing to serve the church in an important way that's easy and requires no extra time outside of Sunday morning worship? Please consider joining Blacknall's PowerPoint Team (PPT)!
Looking for a place to serve at Blacknall? Check out the volunteer hub on Blacknall’s website. Whether you’re into decorating, singing, storytelling, or just hanging out with the cool kids (our middle/high school students, obviously!), we have a place for you to serve at Blacknall! There are also low commitment—but critical— positions that we need to fill.
To protect the privacy of our members and attenders, we have moved most of the updates and prayer requests to a password protected page. You can find the password for the “Prayer Concerns” on the Links tab/page in Church Center.

World
We pray for the Democratic Republic of Congo, as M23 rebel groups have overtaken Goma and Bukavu, causing massive displacements. We continue to pray for our mission partners in Beni and Bunia, for their safety, and for peace in the entire region.
We pray for our mission partners and other organizations serving at-risk populations in the face of uncertainty around critical government resources. We pray that the most vulnerable would be cared for even as policies are in flux.
We pray for the people of Israel and Palestine. We pray for the release of the remaining hostages, and we pray for peace and protection for the people in Gaza, Israel, the West Bank, and Lebanon.
We pray for the people of Ukraine and that they would be set free from the Russian aggression.
We pray for our president and other world leaders that they would make decisions that are right and that would make for peace and justice.
Life Together
We thank God and pray for Wen Reagan, our Director of Music & Worship, and for Nat Stine, our Choir Director. We pray they will continue to help us use our gifts and talents to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. We pray for good health and energy as we enter into this season of Lent and Easter.
We pray for our Officer Nominating Committee as they seek the Lord’s leading on the people to nominate to serve our congregation as elders and deacons. Please pray for Elizabeth Brill, Doug Busch, Hannah King, Tanya Kronstad, Sam Poole, Stephanie Wheatley (chair), Cullen Rodgers-Gates (vice chair), and Rachel Stine (Deacon rep), along with Goodie Bell and David Dunderdale (Pastors, ex officio).
We pray for our search for a new Communications Director. Please pray for the search committee: Lucy Dunderdale Cate (chair), Mindy Lance, Trig Steinbrenner, Tom Taylor, and Faith Weiskirch.
