Formed by God. Connected in Christ.
Men of all ages are invited to walk faithfully with Jesus and one another through fellowship and mentorship. Scripture reminds us, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” Whether you’re seeking growth in prayer, courage in discipleship, or simply a community of brothers, Men’s Ministry offers a place where you belong.

About Our Men’s Ministry

We believe discipleship is at its best in a community that shares life together. Jesus called his disciples into a deep relationship — praying, learning, and sharing meals. That’s the heart of our Men’s Ministry. We want to encourage every man at Blacknall to experience connection with others who strive to live out faith in the rhythms of daily life.

With social gatherings, small groups, retreats, and more, we help men:

  • Build authentic friendships rooted in Christ.

  • Encourage one another through Scripture and prayer.

  • Explore what it means to follow Jesus in work, home, and in our community.

  • Grow in Christ-centered courage and integrity.

What We Offer

Time in Fellowship

Maybe it’s spinning tracks on a turntable, hiking at a local park, or catching a Durham Bulls game, we create dedicated social space to simply be together as brothers in Christ. Events vary on when and where we’ll meet, but it’s always a good time.

Monday Morning Men

A weekly meeting to casually discuss the previous Sunday’s sermon. The group meets from 7 - 8 a.m. each Monday in The Commons at Blacknall. There’s no sign up or requirement for regular attendance — come as you’re able. Coffee and bagels will be provided.

Annual Retreat

Each fall, we gather for a weekend of worship, teaching, fellowship, and rest. This is a time to step away from busyness, encounter God, and build lasting friendships.

Deep Dive Mentoring

Our year-long mentoring program brings men into small groups guided by older co-mentors to explore Scripture, share honestly about life, and pray together. It’s structured yet deeply relational — built for growth, accountability, and spiritual friendship.
