Registration is now open for all elementary-age children’s summer programming: Art Camp I and II and Boys and Girls Discovery Weeks. All registrations are open to Blacknall students until March 15. After that, any open spots will be available for friends of Blacknall.
Several years ago the Children’s Ministry department decided to move from a Vacation Bible School to a day camp model. Liz Shively offers Art Camps for two age groups, rising k/kindergarten and first/second grades.
Students who have just completed third through fifth grades have the opportunity to spend four days together at “Discovery Weeks” – one week for boys and another week for girls. The goals for each of these camps is to build community among the children of Blacknall, to help them feel a part of the larger Blacknall community, to encourage them as they come closer to God, and in all of this to have fun!
Boys’ Discovery Week | June 12 - 15 | 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. For boys who will have just completed grade 3, 4, or 5. Much of the day will be spent at Blacknall, but we may travel to other places with parental permission. We will share the schedule with parents prior to the beginning of camp. The cost is $80 per camper.
Art Camp I | June 19 - 22 | 9 a.m. -12 p.m. For children entering kindergarten or will have just completed kindergarten. Camp is held in the Community Room at Blacknall. Children provide their own snack. All art materials are provided with the fee. The cost is $50 per camper.
Art Camp II | June 26 - 29 | 9 a.m. -12 p.m. For children who will have just completed grade 1 or 2. Camp is held in the Community Room at Blacknall. Children provide their own snack. All art materials are provided with the fee. The cost is $50 per camper.
Girls’ Discovery Week | July 10 - 13 | 9 a.m. -3 p.m. For girls who will have just completed grade 3, 4, or 5. Much of the day will be spent at Blacknall, but we may travel to other places with parental permission. We will share the schedule with parents prior to the beginning of camp. The cost is $80 per camper.
