ISI, a Blacknall Deep Common Journey partner, invites Blacknall to serve at two upcoming events that will welcome incoming international students enrolled at Duke.
Airport Welcome August 16-20
Welcome first-year undergrad and exchange students arriving to RDU alone. Students are arriving August 16-20 with most arriving on August 18 and 19. We need volunteers who can meet 1-2 students at the airport, guide them through check-in, and help them move into their dorm(s).
Shopping Assistance Saturday August 20, 1pm-4pm
More than 125 incoming graduate students - India, Pakistan, Singapore, Nigeria, China, Myanmar, Germany, Philippines - request assistance in a one-time shopping venture. Assist 1-3 international graduate students on Saturday afternoon, August 20 by transporting them to Target, Li Ming's, and other nearby stores so they can purchase necessary items for their living spaces. Upon conclusion of shopping, we ask that you drive them to their apartments.

(ISI) is a Deep Common Journey partner that shares Christ’s love with international college students.ISI at Duke hosts monthly “Saturday Suppers” where dozens of international students gather to share a meal and conversation with others adjusting to this new cultural experience.
